National parade and event specialists

The whole operation, in safe hands.

National Parade Group plans and delivers large-scale parades and the celebration events that close them. From the first planning meeting to delivery on the day, we take responsibility for the entire operation, so the occasion is safe, well-ordered and one a city remembers for the right reasons.

What we do

One team, accountable for every stage of your parade

A parade has a great many moving parts, and each one has to be right. We manage the full lifecycle in-house, from first concept to written debrief, so there is a single point of responsibility for the whole operation and nothing falls between the gaps.

Planning and feasibility

Concept, route options, crowd modelling, risk assessment and budgeting.

Multi-agency liaison

Working alongside the police, local authority, highways, transport operators and emergency services.

Traffic management and road closures

Temporary traffic regulation orders, signed diversions, cones and barriers, accredited operatives.

Crowd safety and stewarding

Trained stewards, marshalling plans, entry and exit management, welfare and medical coordination.

Signage, wayfinding and messaging

Fixed and variable message signs to guide both traffic and people on the day.

Transport coordination

Open-top bus, vehicle staging, and supporter travel where needed.

The finale event

Stage, ticketing logistics, accreditation, and the trophy lift or main moment.

On-the-day command

A single control point coordinating the whole operation in real time.

Post-event review

A written debrief and lessons learned, so the next one is better.

Safety and best practice

Safety is where every plan begins

A parade is a celebration, but it is also one of the most demanding crowd events a city can host. Our planning is built around current best practice in UK crowd safety, and we have studied the independent review of the Liverpool victory parade, published in early 2026 and led by crowd safety expert Eric Stuart of Gentian Events. Its findings sit at the heart of how we plan, so risk is understood and managed long before the day itself.

Destination events, planned for Large celebrations now draw people from far beyond the host city, so turnout and behaviour are planned for, not assumed.
Modern crowd density assessment Density is assessed with current methods, not rules of thumb.
Command, control and high-risk management Clear command, multi-agency coordination, and proper management of pyrotechnics and high-risk behaviour.

Our work · case study

Coventry City, May 2026

In May 2026, Coventry City marked their return to the Premier League after twenty-five years with an open-top bus parade across the city, finishing with a sold-out, 50,000-capacity celebration and trophy lift at War Memorial Park.

National Parade Group delivered the full operation: planning, route design, traffic management and road closures, crowd safety and stewarding, signage, and the on-the-day command that held it all together. Our team managed an estimated 300,000 people across the route, from the CBS Arena through the city to Hearsall Common, with the day building safely to the moment the squad lifted the trophy on stage.

Every kind of parade, anywhere in the UK

Whatever the occasion, the principles hold: plan thoroughly, keep people safe, and deliver a day to remember. We work with football clubs, rugby and other sporting bodies, local authorities, event organisers and rights holders, on celebrations of every kind.

Football promotions, titles and cup runs Rugby, cricket and other sport Civic and city celebrations Royal, ceremonial and remembrance Carnivals, Pride and cultural processions Charity and community parades

A celebration on this scale only works when one team takes responsibility for every part of it. We take that responsibility, and we plan to the standard the day deserves.
